JOY IS AT THE CENTRE OF IT ALL

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy. (Psalm 67:4)
The church is the leaping calf. (Mal. 4:2)
Joy is the fuel for each of our engines. (Neh. 8:10)

Joy is the eternal state and end state of the Kingdom. (Is. 51:11, Rev 21:4).
Joy is what Jesus had above all others. (Ps. 45:7)
Joy is at the centre of David's resurrection prophesy regarding Jesus. (Acts 2:25-28)

Joy is apostolic. (Heb. 12:2)
Joy is prophetic. (Jn 3:29)
Joy is evangelistic. (Jn 4:29)
Joy is a pastoral priority. (Phil. 4:4)
Joy is a teaching priority. (Jer. 15:16)

Joy is at the heart of JESUS' DISCIPLESHIP MODEL. (Is. 61:1-4)
Joy is bullseye of the kingdom. (Rom. 14:17)
Disciples are joy-carriers! (Lk 1:44, Ps. 51:12, Ps. 16:11, Ps. 4:7)

The 611 model is about "scaling joy"  (Is. 61:3 - multiplying the oil of gladness) through church planting.

Is. 61 gives us a three part framework:
Step 1 - Win the lost (Galileans) through signs and wonders (Charisma on Sunday) - 61:1-3d.
Step 2 - The new believers, being filled with joy, grow like crazy and become oaks of
righteousness (spiritual formation through Small Church Experience
) - 61:3c-f.
Step 3 - These "oaks" then impact their city for Jesus (action centres) - 61:4.

We are contending for "happy cities." (cf. Is. 52:7)

THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH BEGINS AND ENDURES
Is. 61:1-2 was Jesus' launch verse (Lk 4:18-19).  This was the beginning of the New Testament Church that would be the new wineskin for God's covenant people.  As such, 611.red seeks to replicate a modern version of the New Testament Church for 21st century cities and nations.
